My name is Allison Norrington and I have been a complementary therapist since 2002 and more recently a beauty therapist. The therapies that I carry out are Nutritional Therapy, Facial Reflexology Sorensistem TM, Japanese Cosmo Face Lift Therapy, Foot Reflexology, Thermo-Auricular Therapy “Hopi Ear Candling”,Head Massage and Beauty Therapy. I work from a purposely converted room in my house which provides the perfect environment for a relaxing and enjoyable treatment. I am fully qualified and bound by a strict code of professionalism and ethics. My intention is to provide the best possible treatment for my clients.
Complementary therapies are used alongside orthodox treatments to assist the body to heal itself. The body can become out of balance due to stress, pain or illness and often requires a helping hand to return to former health and vitality. Complementary therapies do not, however, replace orthodox medicine. A complementary therapist never claims to cure or diagnose any illness.
I find my work very fullfilling and rewarding, having the ability to help people to feel better, reducing pain and stress. Most people can benefit from complementary therapies, including children (I am fully CRB police checked) and the elderly, although in some cases it may not be appropriate.

QUALIFICATION DETAILS
My qualifications to date are a diploma in Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy with the Natural Healthcare College, a diploma in Anatomy Physiology and Body Massage with the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC), a Practitioners certificate in Reflexology with the Association of Reflexologists, a diploma in Facial Reflexology "Sorensensistem" www.facialreflexology.com and I am qualified to perform Japanese Face Lift Therapy, Indian Head Massage and Thermo-Auricular Therapy "Hopi Ear Candling". I also have an NVQ2 in Beauty Therapy. I am a member of the Complementary Therapists Association and fully insured with Embody. I am also self regulated with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council for reflexology. I am also a full member of the British Association for Applied Nutritiona & Nutritional Therapy. I have completed courses in advanced reflexology, hand reflexology, the intestinal link (reflexology), reflexology for back pain and have completed part 1 of Suzanne Enzers maternity reflexology course. I have also attended various advanced massage courses.
