Treatment is by mobilisation or manipulation of joints, nerves and muscles, and guidance on posture and exercise. Muscles, joints, nerves and ligaments all work together to make a healthy body, but the balance can be upset by injury or overuse or sustaining the wrong posture.

At Carmarthen Physiotherapy & Sports Injuries Clinic we treat a wide variety of conditions including:

  • Sports injuries

  • Neck and arm pain

  • Whiplash both acute and chronic

  • Arthritis

  • Postural dysfunction

  • Exercise induced joint pain/Mechanical joint pain

  • Work related upper limb disorders

  • Post operative rehabilitation e.g. After joint replacement, ligament reconstruction or cartilage procedure

  • Post fracture management

What to expect from your first session

When you arrive at Carmarthen Physiotherapy & Sports Injuries Clinic, you get a detailed examination and assessment which is individually tailored to your needs. Your Physiotherapist will listen carefully to the type of problem you describe and analyse what structures could be affected and how they should be examined.

A through informed assessment will then be performed to confirm any problems and develop an accurate diagnosis.

The conclusions from this session form a plan of treatment and can be used to predict how much treatment you might need and how much improvement you can expect to acheive.
