A Professional Osteopath, David practices to enhance the body’s own recovery process, freeing physical restrictions and opening up your route to optimum health.

All your presenting symptoms are carefully diagnosed, prior to the start of treatment.

The approach, progress and plan of your treatment are reviewed regularly, all specifically tailored to your needs.

Osteopathy

David is an experienced practitioner of this established and recognised system of diagnosis and treatment, that lays its main emphasis on the structural integrity of the body. It is distinctive in the fact that it recognises, much of the pain and disability we suffer originates from abnormalities in the function of the body structure, as well as damage caused by diseases.

David is experienced in treating many disorders, including changes to posture in pregnancy; babies with colic or sleep difficulties, repetitive strain injury, and postural problems caused by driving or work strain, the pain of arthritis and sports injuries. All your presenting conditions are carefully considered, prior to the start of treatment, which is specifically tailored to your needs. The approach, progress and plan of your treatment are reviewed regularly.

Many treatments need a ‘one off’ visit, while others may be part of your regular personal Osteopathic care, all of which will be discussed to best meet your requirements.

Osteopathy and Patient Protection

Patients consulting an osteopath have the same safeguards and rights as when consulting a doctor or dentist. Osteopathy is an established system of diagnosis and treatment, recognised by the British Medical Associaton as a distinct clinical discipline. Under the Osteopaths Act of 1993, osteopathy was accorded statutory recognition, and the title “osteopath” protected by law. The General Osteopathic Council or (GOsC) regulates, promotes and develops the profession, maintaining a Statutory Register of those entitled to practice. Practitioners on the Register meet the highest standards in safety and competence.

Testimonials

For most of my adult life I have suffered with lower back and shoulder and neck pain and have consulted various practitioners in a variety of disciplines, none of whom provided permanent benefit.

Finally, I was introduced to David Gray who set about relieving my painful symptoms, and perhaps more importantly, seeking out the causes, that became the subject of further treatment. This was complimented with an exercise regime suggested by David.
The outcome has been very successful, keeping me virtually pain free for the past few years.

In addition the skill he brilliantly brings to bear with his hands David is an excellent communicator explaining at each stage, exactly what he is doing and what he expects to achieve. This aspect I have found fascinating and extremely reassuring.

Thanks to David I have been able to continue my hobbies of golf and gardening. Additionally I have been spared surgery on a damaged shoulder which had been the subject of investigation by a Consultant surgeon in May 2004.

A. Thomas – Retired Bank Manager, Amersham, Buckinghamshire

I have seen David regularly over several years now for help with a 'bad back' - a recurrent problem from a slipped disc many years ago. His careful attention to the exact symptoms and his encouragement to use helpful exercises between appointments have contributed to an overall sense of well being and decrease in back pain. I can recommend his holistic approach and way of working without hesitation.

I really enjoyed my treatment with David, and he had a very good understanding of what was going on for me emotionally. And I felt great afterwards! As a counselor myself, I like to know of someone like David who I can recommend to my clients for cranial work, and do so with complete confidence.
Charlotte Barrow, Oxford, Counselor

Dear David, I just wanted to let you know that today is the 17th day that I am free of migraine. It is such a relief and I am so, so grateful for what you have done in such a short time.

David
I want to say thank you for your professional care and support you have given me through the last 2 years, helping my body cope with the enormous strain of 2 very close together pregnancies. I feel very fortunate to have received treatment from you. Thank You.

Mrs. L. Hallewell, Mother, Thame Oxon

As a personal trainer I am more than happy to refer my clients to David for Osteopathic treatment. Comprehensively on several occasions he has successfully treated clients of mine, suffering with lumbar disc problems.
Kate Mcardle, Personal Trainer, Aston Rowant, Oxfordshire

David's excellent diagnostic abilities and his holistic approach to treatments have benefited all my family tremendously, whether the consultations have been for sports injuries, work related strains or chronic ailments. I personally have never felt better for years.
