SERVICES

Welcome to Body Torque Pilates

Body-Torque aims to provide its clientele with a very personal and first-rate service.

We specialise in teaching small groups and focus on Modern PilatesTM Matwork and STOTTTM Pilates Matwork.

We teach in unintimidating local venues which often appeal to those new to group exercise and those who are also looking for convenience.

We use only teachers who are well trained and have a sympathetic approach towards their clients.

We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to improve their mental and physical well-being through exercise.

About Us

All instructors are fully insured and qualified.

Mats and all necessary equipment will be provided at each venue. For Pilates loose comfortable clothing should be worn, e.g. T-shirt and light-weight trousers or leggings.

You are required to complete an Application Form and Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire form before the first class.

Pilates Matwork

This famous programme of exercises (originally called Contrology) was devised by Joseph Pilates, and has been taught since early 1900s. A combination of strengthening, toning and stretching exercises to improve posture and strengthen abdominal muscles.

Pilates improves core stability and will create a more balanced body.

Pilates can help those suffering from back and other joint pain, as well as osteoporosis and arthritis, improves pelvic floor function and also promotes relaxation.

The Modern Pilates method has been developed in conjunction with physiotherapists and is very safe.

The progressive nature of Pilates means that it is suitable for those new to exercise as well as experienced exercisers looking for increased core stability and improved body shape.

Pilates is suitable during pregnancy (with modifications) and especially beneficial in the post natal period (6 weeks +).
