The aim of my work is to find and treat the underlying causes to your symptoms.

Will Shiatsu help?

Are you suffering with any of these? Ask me how I may be able to help

Stress, Exhaustion, Feeling overloaded and confused
and not knowing which way to turn,
Headaches, Migraines, Tension, Neck shoulder or back pain,
Anxiety, Depression, Grief,
Sciatica, IBS, Digestive, respiratory or circulatory disorders,

Insomnia,  PMT and menstrual problems,
Emotional problems, Low self esteem,
Drained by helping others and getting too little in return

You are not alone, these problems are common. The stress and pace of modern life cause health problems for many people.

Not only is Shiatsu brilliant for relaxation and re-energising but it is also a powerful healing therapy. Experience has shown Shiatsu is effective for headaches, migraine, tension, neck, shoulder and back pain, sciatica, IBS, digestive, respiratory, circulatory disorders, insomnia, PMT and menstrual problems. Emotional problems can have a highly debilitating effect.
Shiatsu can be effective for stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and grief.
Shiatsu helps maintain health and is also used as a preventive measure.

Shiatsu is a way to change the natural energy flowing in our bodies. This energy responds to what we think and feel and goes out of balance thus causing physical problems to manifest - or it could be the other way round. By changing the energy I can change the way you think and feel
I regularly give paliative treatments to clients with advanced MS at Sue Ryder Care and they can feel the difference and value what I do

Seven Good Reasons for phoning or emailing me

1. If you don't Try Shiatsu you will never know how good it can be

2. Every month I give 10 free 30 minute treatments to new clients. Register by Email do it now before someone else takes a place that could be yours

3. Alternatively receive a £15 discount voucher off your first full treatment if you register by email with full contact details (valid for 2 months)

4. You can ask me what experience I have had treating your own kind of problems.

5. An unconditional guarantee. If I can't make a difference that you can feel in your first full treatment then you needn't pay me. I know of no other therapist making this offer - and no one yet has not paid

6. I am a specialist Shiatsu practitioner with 12 years experience delivering just this one modality. I have discovered many advanced ways of working with the 'energy' which I can use to effect deep and lasting change in the health and wellbeing of my clients

7. I won't encourage you to receive unnecessary treatment. I will offer self help techniques focused on what's best for you. I will tell you what changes I perceive or if I am not making progress I will tell you. Most new clients only feel the need for 1-3 treatments though I do have regular clients who are now on a maintenance programme. I have seen some regularly over 10-12 years and they know the difference it makes in their stressful lives.

What is Shiatsu?

Shiatsu is a form of natural healing therapy that promotes health through finger pressure along energy meridians or channels - like acupuncture but with no needles and all your clothes on. Shiatsu is a combination of ancient theories of oriental medicine and 'energy', with modern knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Shiatsu originated in Japan where it is officially recognised and parents teach their children to treat them. Shiatsu is one of the fastest growing areas of complementary therapy in the UK. Shiatsu is safe and non-invasive.

How does it work?

Shiatsu is a holistic therapy which means your whole body is treated. Work on your energy channels promotes well-being at the physical and emotional levels and stimulates your natural self-healing processes. The application of pressure and gentle stretching helps relieve muscle tension, joint stiffness and to realign body structures. Contact with the energy pathways helps to correct imbalance in the functioning of internal organs and to re-balance the effects of emotional disturbance.
