About Georgie Takhar
Georgie's parents were two factory workers only able to communicate in their native Asian tongue. With strict Indian values, Georgie struggled with internal conflict imposed Eastern against Western values through out her childhood.
After college she took up her first telesales role, within an all male environment. producing results that lead to her first approach by a competitor. On experiencing several personal tragedies she focused on building her sales career.
Georgie won several awards due to over performance and company firsts. Leading to several promotions, took part in developing training building and strengthening sales teams within household organisations. Facing daily challenges as a single mother, she reached Regional level running seventeen sites in the generalist recruitment sector. Launching her own IT Sales company 12 years ago in order to honour her own values to obtain complete freedom in the work place.
Over the last ten years Georgie has spent majority of the time working with Board members on strategy, playing change agent, HR and management consultant. Gaining a reputation in offering a direct approach, with workable options.
At college a male student commented, “You'll never make it because you are Asian and a woman!” …. Today I would say I made it because I'm an Asian woman.
