Lola Maja (also known as Lolliepop) has been working as a makeup artist for over 25 years. She is also a qualified Beauty Therapist, Holistic Massage Therapist, Eyebrow and Eyelash Specialist using Threading and Semi-permanent Eyelash Extensions with Top US Brand Xtreme Lashes.
(www.xtremelashes.com) Lola is an official member of The Perfume Studio which offers the unique service of individualised Custom Blend Perfumery.
A career in beauty started off by working freelance for years for all the major cosmetics companies until taking the role as makeup artist for 2 years with the original team to launch Iman at their flagship counter in Selfridges, London in 1997.
Lola then went on to provide personal makeup shopping services and one-on-one makeover events, later establishing the Sacred group of companies and focusing on catwalk, studio photographic and wedding makeup.
Expressing herself in written form Lola was offered the role as Beauty/Style Editor and resident Make-up Artist for Noir magazine; Noir was on sale in the UK, US, Europe and Africa.
Sacred have also provided makeup for various publications in the UK and abroad including BHF which is an American Publication ( www.bhfmagazine.com ) where we worked with two of Nigeria's most prominent designers and" Trendsetter" a Turkish Couture Magazine ( www.trendsettermag.com ) where we depicted the new 7 social sins as recently released by the Vatican. Images from these shoots can be found in our portfolio.
Special Effects Makeup is also an area that Lola is quite fond of. Creating characters, blood and gore for film and television.
Lola has appeared on various magazines both hard copy and online offering advice and interviews. She has also been interviewed on television lifestyles shows offering fashion and makeup advice and critiquing latest trends.
