Sports & Remedial Massage

Everyone can benefit from a deep therapeutic massage. You may be walking or shopping and slip and fall and with “hobbies” like gardening and DIY we often ask more of our bodies than they are used to pushing to finish a job when tired - this is when you are at risk of strains and sprains. Deep massage helps muscles regain their elasticity, reduce muscle spasm and increasing circulation enhances muscle tone, prevents or relieves adhesions and increases range of movement so the body is better able to self repair.

Homoeopathy

Questions People Ask.

Are Homeopathic remedies safe for babies?

Homeopathic remedies have no side effects, therefore they can be given to new born babies and pregnant mothers, safely.

Is homeopathy officially recognised?

Homeopathy was recognised by Act of Parliament in 1948. In a recent House of Lords report Homeopathy was included in group 1 of the complementary fields.

What will treatment be like?

A homeopath will listen to your account of your symptoms and select a remedy which is unique to your case. The remedies are given on sugar pills or powders.

What about my GP?

Your General Practitioner practice is important to you and your family. It makes sense to keep all your health-care providers informed of the ways you are helping yourself. I would be happy to write to your doctor if you wish.

Are there any other benefits from homeopathic treatment?

Treatment is designed to improve your immune response; you will have fewer colds and annoying illnesses, in addition to relieving your current symptoms.

Traditional Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been practised for thousands of years. Often described as a means of pain relief, it can in fact treat a wide range of conditions. Acupuncture treats the whole person and balances our physical, emotional and spiritual energies to restore health.

Modern science has shown that acupuncture stimulates the brain to produce natural pain relieving chemicals, endorphins. These assist the body to heal itself and give pain relief. The traditional view is that Qi (energy) flows round the body in channels. If the Qi is flowing freely the body is in a healthy state. If there is a problem, energy stagnates. The stimulation of appropriate acupuncture points frees this stagnation.
