Clinic Opening Hours

The clinic is open during the following hours:
    Monday 9am - 5pm
    Tuesday 9am - 5pm
    Wednesday 9am - 12.30pm
    Thursday 9am - 5pm
    Friday 9am - 5pm
    Saturday 9am - 12.30pm
Consultation Fees

For osteopathic and orthopaedic medicine the basic consultation fee is £50. For herbal and nutritional medicine, the initial consultation fee is £50 and subsequent consultations are £30. Injections, medications and herbal preparations are extra.

Medical Insurance and Reimbursement of Fees

Most insurance companies will reimburse the cost of osteopathic and orthopaedic treatment. Patients intending to claim from medical insurers are advised to obtain the agreement of their General Practitioner before attending for treatment. Most insurers insist on this.



QUALIFICATION DETAILS

DR JOHN ALLFREE MB ChB MNIMH MCPP MLCOM Dr John Allfree received a traditional medical education graduating with degrees in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Sheffield in 1962, and followed a career in General Medical Practice. He graduated from the London College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1980, and resigned from the NHS in 1983 to develop the Mansfield Clinic. He trained as a Medical Herbalist with the National Institute of Medical Herbalists passing their final examination in 1980 "with distinction". He is a Member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and a Member of the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy. DR MARK ALLFREE BM BS BMedSci(Hons) DO(Hons) MSc (Sports Medicine) Dr Mark Allfree followed a four year, full time, course at the British School of Osteopathy. He graduated in 1988 passing the final examination with honours. He undertook orthodox medical training at the Nottingham University Medical School, and obtained the Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree in 1995 and degrees in Medicine and Surgery in 1997. He is a Member of the British Osteopathic Association, and the British Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine, and is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council.
