SERVICES

Welcome to Awoolfsson Osteopaths

Hello and welcome to the Awoolfsson Osteopaths Ltd website. Awoolfsson Osteopaths was established in 2002. The practice was setup to provide Osteopathic services to Stanmore, Harrow, Bushey and other local areas. The practice is run by Lee Freed a fully qualified and registered osteopath, who qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 1994.

Osteopathy is probably the best known and widely recognised complementary therapy. It is best known for its treatments of lower back aches, but it has many other wide ranging applications. It is safe, natural and effective and holistic in its way of working. Did you know, 50% of people who consult osteopaths suffer from lower back trouble?

In addition to traditional osteopathy the practice also provides experienced cranial and visceral osteopathic treatment. We also treat a large number of expectant mothers, and children of all ages. As part of the treatment and management of your condition the osteopath will be able to give advice and recommend, for example orthotics, back and neck supports as appropriate to your needs.

The practice is also experienced in handling medico-legal cases and reporting. Osteopathic treatment at the practise is also covered most private health insurers including Bupa, Legal & General, Norwich Union, and PPP.

About Us

I am Lee Freed, the director of the clinic. I have always lived in NW London.

I completed my four-year training course at the British School of Osteopathy and awarded my degree, the B.Sc. (Ost.), in 1994.

I was registered with the General Council and Register of Osteopaths from 1994-1998, until it was replaced by the General Osteopathic Council. I have been registered with the new General Osteopathic Council since 1999.

In my first year after qualifying, I worked extensively around the country as a locum in a variety of practices and with many practitioners.
I have also worked at the Sports Clinic at the British School of Osteopathy.

Since 1995, I have worked in Bexley, Kent, at one of the largest Osteopathic practices in the country, where I am the senior associate amongst 7 associates. In addition to the general practice, I am also the senior cranial and paediatric Osteopath.

From 2000-2005, I ran two very busy practices at the Holmes Place Health Clubs in Hendon and Cricklewood.

The Kenton Lane Clinic was setup in 2002, to provide Osteopathic services to the local communities of Stanmore, Harrow Weald, and Kenton, as well as the surrounding areas such as Harrow, Bushey, Hatch End, Pinner, Northwood, Edgware etc.

In 2002 I was awarded MSCC status for completing a series of courses and assessments in cranial osteopathy.

In addition to being registered with the General Osteopathic Council, I am a member of the following associations:
  • British Osteopathic Association

  • The Sutherland Society

  • Sutherland Cranial College

  • Osteopathic Sports Care Association

  • London Osteopathic Society
