Massage has been used for thousands of years to heal and soothe body and mind. It is something we all use instinctively, if we hurt ourselves we automatically rub the area to ease the pain.
Who Benefits from Massage?
Infants through to older people can all benefit greatly, both physically, mentally and emotionally. Whether you sit in front of a computer all day or do heavy, physical work, muscles can become sore from overuse or putting too much strain on them. Neck and facial tension can contribute towards headaches and other ailments. Feeling stressed, constantly tired and irritable can also lead to our tensing muscles without realising it. Many other conditions can be improved through massage, for example, poor circulation, anxiety and insomnia.
Massage helps stimulate the body's own healing and coping mechanisms to aid recovery and encourage a calmer mind ready to combat the demands of today’s stressful living.
About the Therapist
I have been VTCT qualified in Swedish massage since 2006 and attend seminars and training to enhance my treatments. Prior to my training I worked within the care sector as an Occupational Therapist.
Location
The massage therapy room is situated in a peaceful location in the village of Stonesfield, 3 miles from Woodstock and 15 minutes from Witney.
Home Visits
If, however, you would prefer a massage in the familiar surroundings of your own home then this can also be arranged.
