Welcome to Bakewell Physiotherapy Clinic
You can find us just half a mile from Bakewell town centre, along the A6 Buxton Road. Our purpose designed clinic is within the newly built Deepdale Business Park.
We provide physiotherapy for many conditions
These include back pain, neck pain and spondylosis, whiplash injury, joint arthritis, frozen shoulder (capsulitis), sports injury, and womens health as well as neurological rehabilitation (after a stroke for example).
Our Clinic
Tamsin Brooks and David Meech moved to a modern premise in Bakewell in 2006 and along with their associates offer specialised physiotherapy services in Bakewell.
All are experienced physiotherapists registered with the Health Professions Council.
Our clinic has the convenience of free parking and is ideally situated for commuters from the surrounding area. We offer Daytime, Evening and Weekend appointments, and are recognised by all major medical insurance companies.
We also provide acupuncture, massage and pilates instruction as well as home visits by arrangement.
Pilates
Pilates is a well established form of exercise. It is an excellent way of strengthening the spinal and abdominal muscles to stabilise the spine (core stability).
It is vital that it is carried out at the correct level as often these deep muscles are not easy to find, especially if there are existing muscle and joint pains.
The Bakewell Physiotherapy Clinic offers small classes (no larger than 5) which enables the instructor to closely supervise participants.
Classes will be available for ladies, a gents class and an ante/postnatal class from September.
After Physiotherapy
Bakewell Physiotherapy Clinic cares for your health after your physiotherapy is completed.
We have a close association with the exclusive gymnasium at Chatsworth House. To assist your return to good health, our clients can obtain a 3 month membership to enable you to get back to fitness, or acheive new goals under the professional and experienced direction of Susie Grottick and her staff.
Chatsworth Gymnasium is situated behind the Estate Office at Edensor and offers an excellent range of facilities along with use of the 15 x 8m swimming pool and tennis court. The gymnasium facilities include Life Fitness treadmills, recumbent & upright bikes, cross trainers, stepper, concept 2 rowers along with a wide range of weight machines, free weights, resistance bands, fit balls, medicine balls, BOSU's and barbells. A gym instructor is constantly in the gym for help and advice should you need it.
