Welcome to Footwise
FOOTWISE was established in May 2005 to offer something completely new: a store which combined footwear with foot care in a modern, stylish environment. With a resident Podiatrist and small clinic included, we are also able to offer unrivalled care and advice and provide a range of shoes which are truly comfortable and good for your feet.
We also recognised that the prices charged by UK private practices for custom-made insoles (orthotics) vary widely, but can often cost anywhere between £250-£700+ for an expertly designed pair. We therefore decided to invest heavily in the latest CAD-CAM orthotic-fabrication technology which allows us to create orthotics without the need for plaster-casting and the use of outside labs. This means that we can offer top-quality orthotics for less than half the price typically charged by others. It also means that our Podiatrists are able to oversee the creation of the orthotic so that it matches their exact specifications, rather than relying on an outside laboratory to interpret their instructions. .
In May 2006, our success was officially recognised when we won the coverted "Comfort Footwear Retailer of the Year" award (Draper's Footwear Awards). In October 2006, we opened our second store, in Kensington, London and in March 2007 we started selling shoes on-line.
Our ethos is to provide excellent service and comfortable footwear which looks stylish too. We are therefore constantly researching new products and brands and so our range of shoes is constantly evolving and continuing to improve.
The company is privately owned and plans to open further stores throughout the UK soon.
