Located in the heart of wheat country, Manna House is owned and opereated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Concordia, Kansas. Grounded in a wholistic, integrative approach to the person, staff members offer an extensive range of services including retreats, sabbaticals, theological institutes, workshops, body work, spiritual direction, psychological services, and organizational consultations.

In over 30 years of service, Manna continues to be an international gathering place for participants attending the Sarah Sabbatical, the first program of its kind designed specifically for women age 60 and older, and other leadership conferences and workshops.

Conscious of God’s abundant gifts, Manna House of Prayer and its staff offer:

Hospitality

  • values community and individual needs for solitude
  • provides material and spiritual assistance for anyone who comes
Service

  • unhurried and professional
  • unpretentious, attentive and challenging
  • ccepting and loving
Peace
  • that is marked by
  • holiness and wholeness
  • quiet, privacy and solitude
  • relaxation and security
  • a sense of the sacred in place, relationships, teachings
Beauty
  • that is that is homey and restful
  • simple, open and comfortable
  • mindful of Manna's rich heritage
  • as an institution sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Concordia
Out of a sense of call, we desire to respond to the material and spiritual needs of contemporary society. In light of our understanding of prayer and apostolic call, we hope to enable all who come to Manna, and those whom we serve outside of Manna, to seek and to find God in all the events of life.
