SERVICES

Welcome to Valindas

As identical twins we have always had a close relationship. Our lives have followed similar patterns, although our characters have always been slightly different. The intuitive connection that we share has enabled us to provide a unique expirience through our joint passion for massage. For a long time we have shared an interest for Holistic Therapies, which combined with our desire to help others, led us to train as masseauses.

We now have regular clients from all over the country, impressed by the extreme relaxation our therapy offers. Many saying a 4 handed massage enables the body and mind to fall into a relaxed state much faster than a regular massage, helping them to feel pampered and cared for. A wholly wonderful experience.

Therapies

Massage has developed our thousands of years, originating in China and now popular in Europe, it has been used not only for relaxation but also to restore health to the body.

Used in China, Japan and India, all renowned for their holistic approaches to medicine that look at the body, mind and spirit.

In Roman times massage was used for treating stiff and sore muscles and joints, curing diseases and strengthening the body. Even Julius Caesar, the most famous Roman Emperor, had massage daily.

Massage today is based on techniques developed by Swedish physiologist and fencing master Per Henrik ling (1776 - 1839). He studied anatomy and physiology as well as studying as a doctor and developed movements which he found helped improve his health.

Now known as 'Swedish massage' Per Henricks techniques can be used with other treatments such as physiotherapy, aromotherapy and general stress-management, and is recognised as a therapy in its own right.

Many European lifestyles incooperate massage into their daily or weekly routines as well as using it to treat both physical conditions and psychological problems.

Massage treats stress in several ways. It is a treatment that relies on touch, which is one of the most neglected senses.

Massage can releive stress which in turn boosts the bodies natural immune system.

It stimulates the circulation and the lymphatic system, increases energy levels and creates calm in both mind and body.

It releases endorphins, the pain releiving happy hormones, encourages deeper breathing, lowers heart rate and improves digestion.

When stressed the body system either shuts down or speed up, stress related conditions such as insomnia, head aches or back pain are helped through massage.

It helps treat depression and low self-esteem and improves your sense of self-worth. Massage also stimulates cell renewal helping the body to repair itself.
