Holistic Healthcare

Holistic Healthcare is the care of the whole person on all levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, and encourages the body's unique capacity for self-healing.

Dysfunction on any level can lead to disorder in other parts of the body.

Reflexology and Indian Head Massage work holistically to encourage self-healing.

Clinical Reflexology

What does treatment involve?

Each organ, structure and system of the body corresponds to specific areas in the feet and is connected by a system of energy which can become congested or blocked.

The Reflexologist uses an acupressure technique to work over these area and seeks to detect and relax tension and encourage the free flow of energy to help normalize bodily functions and self-healing. Altough not a 'cure-all', most conditions respond to treatment. These include:
  • Muscular tension
  • Back problems
  • Migraine
  • Insomnia
  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Hiatus hernia
  • Emotional problems
  • Bowel problems
  • Stress
  • Tension
  • Menstrual/Menopausal problems

  • People with progressive disorders such as MS (multiple sclerosis) and ME (post viral fatigue syndrome) can also derive benefit.

  • Also of therapeutic value for women in pregnancy and the post natal period.

Who can benefit?

The therapy is suitable for most people of all age groups, from babies to the elderly. Reflexology treatment has preventative value because it can detect imbalances at an early stage.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Champissage is a safe, simple, non-invasive and highly beneficial therapy which has been used throughout the Indian subcontinent for thousands of years.

The head, neck and shoulders are energy centres where tension is most likely to accumulate: gentle yet firm, rythmical massaging of the scalp, face, neck and shoulders, soothes and comforts, whilst rebalancing the energy flow to encourage a feeling of peace and tranquility.

Indian Head Massage relaxes the scalp and stimulates circulation which tones up the subcutaneous muscles and, in turn, relieves eyestrain and headaches.

It stimulates the elimination of muscle tension, restores joint movement and stretches and mobilises the tissues if the neck and shoulders, making it especially beneficial to people experiencing pain and stiffness in these areas.
