We aim to provide prompt treatment and the very highest standards of care for all individuals that we have the opportunity to work with.
All our physiotherapists are members of the Health Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and are registered with all the major health insurance providers.
Our friendly and professional staff have a wealth of experience and offer comprehensive physical assessment, accurate diagnosis and a range of evidence based treatments.
We are able to offer an appointment within 24 hours and have evening and Saturday morning clinics.
Physiotherapy is available for rehabilitation after surgery, and for problems including neck, back, muscle and joint pain using a broad range of physiotherapy techniques, including acupuncture. We have recently purchased new equipment for gait analysis and biomechanical assessment for lower limb and back problems , particularly useful for walking and running activities and also have a specialist incontinence physiotherapist.
Helen Hopkins the Director of the Cowbridge clinic, has also undertaken extensive post graduate training in acupuncture and herbal medicine. and can offer treatment for conditions such as infertility (male and female), womens problems, hair loss (Alopoecia), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), panic attacks, anxiety and depression, skin conditions, insomnia and many more.
Additionally, we are able to provide an Ergonomics service where our Physiotherapist will come out on-site to your place of work. Specialist DSE risk assessments, driving ergonomics and manual handling training can be provided.
About Us
Helen Hopkins is a Chartered physiotherapist with more 35 years experience in both NHS and Private Practice,she specialises in musculoskeletal problems especially back and sacro-iliac pain ,using several modalities including spinal mobilisation, massage and acupuncture.She has also undergone further postgraduate training in Modern Chinese Medicine which includes acupuncture and top grade herbal medicine.See our acupuncture page for further information.
Calvin Hill graduated in 2001 as a Chartered Physiotherapist and initially gained experience in the NHS before moving to Private Practice. He specialises in musculoskeletal injuries having worked in a number of clinics in the London area and Sydney, before joining our team in June 2008. Calvin has a particular interest in Sports Injuries, Work-Related Injuries and Spinal Dysfunction. He uses a variety of techniques including massage, Pilates and Acupuncture.
