About FitBack

Jonathan Daniel
BSc (Hons) BA (Hons) MCSP HPC
Managing Director

Jon graduated from Cardiff in 1996 with a degree in Human Movement Studies. He then went on to study Physiotherapy at the University Of Hertfordshire.

He has been working as a Physiotherapist since 1999, gaining valuable experience in the NHS, private practice, industry and professional sport.

Jon has worked extensively in Rugby Union, at the Rugby World Cup 7`s in Hong Kong (2005) and with several touring sides.

For the last 5 years he has worked in private practice and as an on-site Physiotherapist in industry, experiencing a wide range of work related injuries.

Jon has developed a real appreciation for the use of Gym Ball exercises in the rehabilitation and prevention of low back pain and has integrated exercises very successfully into his treatment plans. Following positive outcomes with individual patients, group classes were developed. Initial pilot classes run both in private practice and industry were very successful and this led to the development of FitBack.

Sarah Daniel
MSc BSc (Hons) MCSP HPC
Assistant Director

Sarah qualified as a Physiotherapist from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 2001. Since graduating, Sarah has gained experience working in the NHS, professional sport and private practice, acquiring a wide range of clinical skills.

Sarah’s professional expertise is based in rehabilitation both with musculoskeletal conditions and neurological injury. Her clinical practice predominantly involves the assessment and treatment of abnormal movement patterns that can impair function and result in pain. She utilises a variety of physiotherapy techniques, in particular Gym Ball based exercises, to restore movement and function.

Using skills acquired during her Masters Degree in Neurological Physiotherapy Sarah has contributed to the development of the FitBack concept. She has integrated knowledge of movement and movement dysfunction to assist in the development of the course and has been actively involved in the research components.
