At Move Physiotherapy, we specialise in musculo-skeletal conditions.

    ABOUT US

    Martin Smith graduated from University of Ulster, Jordanstown in 2004 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy.

    Martin has also obtained the following qualifications:

    Full Member of The Society of Orthopaedic Medicine(SOM) Examination 2007

    Member of The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sport Medicine (ACPSM

    Member of The Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP

    Registered with The Health Professions Council (HPC)

    Certificate in Sports and Body Massage (VAI)

    He has also completed numerous post graduate musculoskeletal courses including Mulligan concepts for joint mobilisation, trigger point therapy and advanced functional sports rehabilitation.

    Martin has gained valuable experience in the field of orthopaedics and musculo-skeletal problems while working in Musgrave Park, Lagan Valley and Downe hospital respectively.

    He has worked with higher level sports people including Johnny Evans (Manchester United & Northern Ireland) and Kyle Lafferty (Rangers and Northern Ireland) as a physiotherapist with Northern Ireland at various underage levels.

    He has worked in private practice and was involved with the Down Senior, Minor and Under 21’s panels – U21’s went onto win the Ulster Championship in 2008 also physiotherapist to the Down senior camogie team who won the National League title 2009 He has treated other various sports including Gaelic, soccer, boxing, golf and athletics.
