SERVICES

Welcome to Evans Osteopathy

Lee Evans is a registered Osteopath based at the Natural Therapy Clinic in Cardiff. As-well as Osteopathy Lee has also specialized in soft tissue manipulation, foot orthotics and the treatment of chronic pain. The Natural Therapy Clinic is a co-operative of professional therapists with many years of experience, we pride ourselves on providing a high standard of service in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All practitioners follow a holistic approach, treating each person as a unique individual. Time is taken to find and treat the cause of each person's condition or distress, rather than merely suppressing the symptoms, giving temporary relief.

What problems do we treat?

There are very few people who would not benefit from osteopathic treatment at some time. It is impossible to detail all the conditions for which osteopathy is most suitable for, but they include musculoskeletal injuries such as strains, sprains and what is commonly referred to as ‘slipped’ discs’. Also conditions which patients recognise as arthritis, lumbago, sciatica, wry neck, tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, neuritis, migraine, menstrual disorders, chronic respiratory conditions, constipation and digestive disorders, frequently respond more quickly and more completely to osteopathy than to any other form of treatment.

Osteopathy and Arthritis

Osteopaths spend a large amount of their time in dealing with the pain and suffering caused by arthritis. Many people mistakenly assume that arthritis is untreatable and that they must learn to live with their symptoms. In many cases, osteopaths are able to help considerably. Pain relief and lifestyle management can improve the quality of life for arthritis sufferers.

Osteopathy for Back Pain

Low back pain has reached epidemic proportions in the western world. Research shows that 60% of the UK population will suffer from it of some stage during their lifetime. A Health Department report recommends physical treatment such as osteopathy as early as possible after the onset of symptoms. Osteopathic treatment and active rehabilitation can be much more effective than the old fashioned approach of pain killers and bed rest.
