Welcome to Stressed!

My name is Anne Marie Lee and I am a fully qualified and registered Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist, Numerologist and a certified master NLP practitioner which includes time line therapy. I have 20 years of experience, between1990 and 1996 I was the president of the National council of Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapy Register. I am currently a full member of The Hypnotherapy Association and therefore governed by a strict code of ethics. A major factor to successful treatment is client / therapist rapport and using 20 years experience I have a highly proven track record.

Hypnotherapy


Hypnotherapy is the application of hypnotic techniques which can help bring about beneficial changes within the client.

Hypnosis is an altered state of awareness and in this trance like state the client is not asleep, but just in a very pleasant relaxed state of mind and body where the imagination can be utilised or come into play, where your subconscious mind is listening, while your conscious mind is somewhere else.

There are different levels of hypnosis from light, medium to somnambulism. The latter is characterised by amnesia after awakening, but anyone can be hypnotised and can benefit from it. It is a natural phenomenom. For instance - a person maybe at a boring talk or lecture, the person is aware of where they are, but their mind momentarily has wandered elsewhere imagining a pleasant holiday or what they maybe having for dinner etc. It is like daydreaming, you are there but not there. In this trance like state many changes can take place, the safe release of repressed feelings which may be holding the client back, and hindering them to enjoy life to the full. Feelings of low self esteem, and lack of confidence or obsessional thoughts or actions can be helped and positive suggestions can be given.

People can suffer from a wide variety of distressing feelings such as panic attacks, anxiety, jealousy, guilt, anger or inadequacy.

Psychotherapy


What is Psychotherapy? It is essentially a conversation which involves listening to and talking with those in trouble with the aim of helping them understand and resolve their predicament.

Sometimes it is necessary to confront the past and let it go, to enable you to live in the present and look forward to enjoying the future, when somebody feels at a crisis point in their life, maybe they are filled with anxiety, doubt and despair and wish to make changes, it is at these times when the person feels sufficiently unsettled to have an opportunity for personal growth. Seeking help with a psychotherapist will enable you to make the growth choice rather than the fear choice.

The clients longing for growth is the central force of his/her journey. The psychotherapist is an observer, listener and a catalyst, while the client wrestles with his/her conflicts and the meaning for life. "The psychotherapist has no power to cure", for everything the client needs is within him/herself for the changes and growth.

It is important to choose the right therapist for yourself, as rapport is essential.
