Haemochromatosis

Haemochromatosis is a disorder which can cause damage to the heart and liver and other internal organs. The disorder represents an overproduction and excessive storage of iron in the body which commonly affects men more than women. Treatment includes bloodletting, dietary monitoring, chelation therapy and limited alcohol consumption.
