Cirrhosis is a condition that affects liver function due to the presence of scar tissue in the liver. Causes of cirrhosis include exposure/ingestion of chemicals, viruses, toxic metals and autoimmune liver disease. Symptoms that may present themselves include exhaustion and fatigue, loss of appetite, weight loss, itching, susceptibility to bruising easily, nausea and/or vomiting, abdominal swelling, jaundice, vomiting blood and encephalopathy.
