Yoga - Vinyasa

  • Browse the local directory for Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa yoga is a form of yoga which uses synchronised breathing and sequential movement to create flow through the practice. The transition between poses is centred around the breath and breathing patterns of the individual during movement.

This method of flow through movements is designed to warm up the body, encourage sweating and a process of detoxification through increased circulation. The heat created by Vinyasa gives the individual the flexibility and strength to practice or attempt more difficult or advanced poses, free from the risk of injury.

TThere are patterns or paths within Vinyasa practice which vary and alternate, however with regular practice these can become familiar and form the foundations for a very strong yoga practice and technique. Vinyasa is a fast-paced flow yoga which can be challenging to beginners. Vinyasa yoga should be practiced with an experienced teacher who can correct and guide correct technique during practice.
