If you are looking for a way to tell what is going on inside your body, you might be surprised to know that you can get all the answers that you need simply from looking at your eyes. Iridology is the study of the iris and can tell you more information than you thought. Read on for more information.
Iridology is the study of the iris, the coloured part of your eye. Each iris is completely unique and it is possible to look at it and see inherited strengths and weaknesses, and also be able to tell the overall wellbeing of a person. It should be noted that iridology cannot detect a certain disease but it can give indications of what conditions a person can develop if they don’t look after themselves. Iridology is a safe, non-invasive and painless therapy. It is not designed for treatment but rather as a diagnostic tool. Iridology is able to support other treatments whether complementary/alternative or traditional.
In iridology, the iris of the eye is divided into twelve basic zones, with each zone corresponding to a different area of the body. For example, the 2-3 o’clock position on the outer zone of the left eye corresponds to the left lung. Different colour markings in the iris help to show the iridologist what is happening in the body.
When you go to see an iridologist, here are some of the things that you can expect to happen. The iridologist will look at your eye using tools such as slit lamps, pen lights, and magnifying tools. Photographs may also be taken using a specially designed camera. The iridologist will then look at the eye itself or the photographs in order to determine a person’s current state of health, any inherited weaknesses or strengths, the levels of toxicity in the body, and the potential of a problem occurring. As iridology is able to show the “weaker” organs in the body, the iridologist may make dietary suggestions or nutritional supplements that can support these areas. The overall consultation and examination process should last for around an hour.
