Welcome to S B Sports Injury Physiotherapy Clinic

SB Sports Injury & Physiotherapy Clinic was first launched in January 2004 in Shifnal Shropshire. The aim of the clinic was to use the experience gained by our physiotherapists from treating professional sports persons and deliver the same level of care to you the general public. We pride ourselves in the delivery of physiotherapy to all members of the public from young to old with all manner of musculoskeletal conditions from age related problems to work related pain and sports injuries.

As musculoskeletal physiotherapists our ultimate aim with each individual is to rehabilitate you to the level of function you were achieving during your pre injured state by restoring normal function and reducing pain.

All our physiotherapists are monitored, regulated and registered with both the Health Professionals council and the chartered Society of Physiotherapy. This demonstrates that all our physiotherapists are professionally trained to a degree level and follow a code of practice, which includes a commitment to continual professional development in order to maintain high standards of care.

As Physiotherapists we typically assess and treat any injuries, dysfunctions, weakness, or pain through advice, hands on treatments, electrotherapy and patient centred exercise. Here at the clinic we are keen to emphasise the importance of self-management and the prevention of re-occurrence of injuries.

What to expect

Our physiotherapists will conduct a thorough assessment, which will include taking a history of your problem and any relative medical history. Details of previous treatments, related injuries and information about daily activities may also be taken. This will be followed by a thorough examination of the problem area and related areas of the body.

After a consultation with you the physiotherapist will discuss your treatment options and advise you on the most appropriate course of treatment dependent on your circumstances, problems and needs.

You may also be given a programme of activities to continue at home.
