rachel bartholomew dip ion
nutrition consultant

Just as good nutrition can help you to feel vibrant and reduce the risks of ill health, poor nutrition can leave you feeling sluggish and can significantly increase your risks of developing health problems, both now and in the future.

One of the most important things to remember is that it’s never too early or too late to start making positive changes to your diet.

A nutrition consultation can be used as a healthy preventative, to make sure your diet is the best it possibly can be to help prevent future problems, or can be incredibly effective for helping to address the root causes and reduce symptoms of any health problems you may be experiencing.

The list of health problems, which may benefit from improved nutrition really is endless. Some common examples include:
  • Weight gain and unhealthy body composition

  • Low energy & chronic fatigue

  • Depression & fatigue

  • Inflammatory problems such as arthritis and eczema

  • Fertility issues

  • Hormonal problems such as PMS & menopausal symptoms

  • Cardiovascular health issues

  • Learning and behavioural problems

“Simple changes can have a dramatic effect on your health. In fact, clients often remark that it is astonishing just how much better they feel by making even just a few small changes.”

Testing & Supplements

Rachel offers a range of functional tests to accurately assess health status in different areas. Commonly recommended tests include Adrenal Stress, Hormone Profile, Digestive Function, Vitamin & Mineral Analysis, Thyroid Function & Cardiovascular Health Assessment.

Rachel’s primary concern is with real food, supplements may be recommended as an adjunct to dietary changes, often where there are deficiencies identified and in these cases, supplementation in addition to diet improvement may be the most effective route to optimal health.

Rachel practises at her own clinic in The Pig Barn at Cedar Farm in Mawdesley, Lancashire L40 3SY www.cedarfarm.net. Contact Rachel on 01704 821711 or email her here.

Workshops & Events

Autumn 2011 – ‘Mindful Eating’ is an innovative new approach to weight loss co-developed by Rachel Bartholomew Nutrition expert & Mandy Pearson NLP, Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy Expert. Since most weight loss courses fail because leaders fail to realise that how you think and feel has a large part to play in what you choose to eat, Rachel & Mandy have devised a course that effectively combines expert nutritional advice and support alongside practical, psychological tools to enable long-lasting change.
