Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy helps to stimulate and reinvigorate fatigued and stressed muscles. Sitting in the same position for long periods causes muscles to shorten, which in turn means a less sufficient blood supply to that area.

This can then lead to a variety of problems including:
  • Back Ache
  • Headaches
  • Sore arms & legs
  • Tight shoulders
  • Pain when leaning over
  • Sciatica
  • Cramps
  • Muscle Adhesions
  • Decreased Range of Motion

Massage therapy can help all of the listed conditions by lengthening muscles, providing the body with “feel good” hormones, improving circulation and aiding all of the body’s systems. It aids in the stretching of tendons and ligaments, helping to promote mobility in joints.

Massage also helps to eliminate any build up of toxins within the body, replacing toxins with fresh new proteins encouraging muscles to work to their full potential. With specific injuries, massage can help to accelerate the body’s rehabilitation, supporting it through the healing process.

The physiological benefits of Massage are numerous and far reaching. The manipulation of muscles, ligaments and tendons promotes the lengthening of and a more efficient performance of the body as a whole.

The most obvious advantages resulting from regular massage treatments are:
  • Improvement in Physical performance
  • Improved circulation
  • Assistance in the recovery of fatigued and/or tense muscles
  • Stimulation of the lymphatic system
  • Improvement in posture
  • Assistance in the elimination of scar tissue
