  • Nutritional Therapy
A good diet is the simplest way of actively enhancing your nutritional status to support fertility. Research suggests that the foods we eat and the way we live can affect:
    • Conception
    • Sperm quality
    • Miscarriage rates
    • Pregnancy outcomes and new born health

Fertility investigations and treatment can be stressful. We aim to help you make changes to your diet in a way that is realistic and enjoyable. To this end we have developed a large bank of tried and tested easy recipes which incorporate nutrient dense ingredients in tasty ways.

    Ann Souter
I graduated in Nutritional Therapy in 2008 from Raworth College, Dorking, Surrey. I am a member of BANT - British Association of Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy. I am also registered with the NTC - Nutritional Therapy Council.

As a nutritional therapist I am able to combine my love of good food with my knowledge of how the body works. I have seen first-hand the difference that a few well targeted changes can make to my patients’ overall well-being. I know that when you are trying for a baby this can be a very stressful time. As such I aim to support your fertility with realistic dietary changes which will fit in with your lifestyle.

    Acupuncture
    About Acupuncture

Acupuncture originated in China over 3,000 years ago, and can assist nature to do what nature does best; make babies. By combining acupuncture treatment with IVF, success rates seem to improve dramatically, not only in creating the most ideal conditions for conception, but also giving the highest possible chance of a problem-free pregnancy.

Acupuncture helps bring balance and harmony to your energy, with the aim of ensuring that all of the different organs in your body work to their optimum, thus ensuring that the environment is right to create new life.

    Iva Blay
Iva graduated in acupuncture at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2003. Iva is a full member of the Zita West Network, the UK's No 1 specialists in all-round reproductive healthcare, and is also a full member of the British Acupuncture Council. Iva has extensive experience and knowledge in treating fertility problems, immune problems, emotional problems, musculoskeletal problems and digestive problems. Iva studied physiotherapy, massage and has degree in Physical Education all completed in Croatia.

Iva uses a holistic approach to improve wellbeing and quality of life and formulates a naturally-orientated treatment plan which combines acupuncture, therapeutic massage, dietary advice, exercises and lifestyle management. Iva not only treats the symptoms but also seeks out and treats the real cause of the problem, which reduces the likelihood of the problem re-occurring.

    Sam Patel
A graduate of the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM - East Grinstead) in 1998 having completed a four year full time course, going straight into private practice, currently in Banstead, I also work at the teaching clinic in East Grinstead that forms part of ICOM.

Registered and fully insured with the British Acupuncture Council.

My involvement is also with the education of acupuncture teaching across all four years at ICOM for the BSc (Hons) degree validated by Brighton University; teaching the CAMS module for Year 2 medical degree for Brighton and Sussex Medical School; teaching part of the final year for The London College of Traditional Acupuncture (University of Portsmouth).

Also part of the accreditation and verifying team for The British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB); helping to keep a core standard in acupuncture education in the UK.

    Reflexology
Reflexology is a non-invasive, natural yet extremely effective therapy practiced on the feet.
Reflexes are stimulated that correspond to the whole body, including the reproductive, immune and endocrine systems. Designed to rebalance energy and improve internal wellbeing, techniques are specifically adapted to work through each stage of the menstrual cycle encouraging the body to regain its natural rhythm and flow. Reflexology adapts to support you through the physical and emotional roller-coaster that drug protocol may produce during an IUI/IVF/ICSI cycle, thus providing a completely integrated treatment.

As a drug free, safe and effective treatment, Reflexology and can bring relief from the natural aches and physical discomforts that pregnancy brings and can encourage the body to commence delivery closer to term, supporting a natural labour and birth. Post birth, treatment can help to re-settle hormones, bring about balance and stave off the signs of post-natal depression.

    Alison Fuller
Alison is a Reproductive Reflexologist specialising in fertility, pregnancy, menopause and all things hormonal. She is a member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR) and the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists (ARR). Coming from a corporate background, her training started in 2001 and for the past 6 years she has run her private practice in Weybridge, Surrey. She is delighted to bring Reproductive Reflexology to the Newlife Clinic to promote the integration of holistic therapy with ground breaking modern medical procedures.

Her treatments focus on the promotion of natural fertility, support through Assisted Conception Cycles (IVF etc), hormonal imbalance, such as PMS, PCOS, Endometriosis and Menopause. Pregnancy support, natural induction into labour and post birth rebalance.
