SERVICES

Welcome to Lutterworth Chiropody

The Lutterworth Chiropody Clinic provides exceptional foot care for all ages and most conditions of the feet. From sweaty, smelly feet to verrucae and Athletes foot - including all the hard skin and nail problems.

Chiropody is a gentle form of treatment.
Although involving the use of some fearsome - looking tools, such as nail nippers and scalpels, patients continually comment on how amazed they are at such painless treatment.

If your feet are uncomfortable, there is something wrong.
It could be a build up of hard skin on the sole of the foot, especially the heels. Corns and callouses, ingrown nails, athlete's foot and thickened infected nails can very painful or just unsightly.

Specialist treatment is also available for flat feet and nail surgery. Orthotics and prosthetic devices are custom made to alleviate pain and stop sores from developing.

The ground floor surgery is bright, relaxing and airy. Each patient can take advantage of a soothing footbath, whilst their medical history is taken. Absolute confidentiality is assured. The treatment time is approximately forty minutes, ending with a foot massage.

Home or residential home visits are of course available, by appointment.

Nail Surgery
  • Surface freezing before local anaesthetic is injected, makes the removal of an ingrowing toenail virtually painless.

  • Postoperative pain is very low because the nerve endings are chemically cauterised.

  • Little chance of the nail regrowing, as phenol removes the nail root.

  • A few hours with the foot up to stop bleeding, and then the next day, as long as you can wear open shoes you can go back to work.

  • Redressing after 5 days then as long as you bath it regularly in salt water you can dress it yourself.

  • You should be able to get a shoe back on in a week to 10 days.
