About Me
My Name is Phyllis Gordon-Harlow, and about 18 years ago, I made some interesting discoveries:
As a TA medic, I found that if I massaged someone’s painful knee, neck, back, arm or shoulder, the pain went away, but to my surprise, other medics did not get the same results!
I discovered, at a remarkable ‘crystal workshop’ that I could ‘scan’ people with my hands and identify not only their current problems, but also the exact sites of any ‘old’ breaks and scars. I was later to realise that I could also pick up on ‘new’ medical conditions that neither the doctor nor the patient was aware of at the time.
I began to ‘see’ other people’s headaches and felt the need to put my hands on their head, to visualise rolling the ‘jagged bits’ into a ball and throwing it away. The headaches generally went completely. However, I had no idea what this phenomenon was, how it worked and how to use it more effectively to help people. For now, it was just a bit weird and scary, and I was afraid people would think I was just mental!
I have spent much of the intervening years trying to find the answers.
I later learnt that I was in fact just channelling the healing energy from a higher source. In ‘quiet’ moments I began to be aware of a little voice inside (really thought I was schizophrenic now!), which told me things, asked me thought provoking questions, encouraged me to use my gifts and guided me. When I doubted my abilities (or my sanity!), I was often ‘steered’ towards someone who could answer a specific question or help with that particular phase of my development. These wonderfully spiritual people always recognised and encouraged my abilities.
When I studied Aromatherapy in 1998, I always seemed to know instinctively which oils to use for each client’s particular need. It’s like I was remembering it.
I also did Reiki levels 1 & 2, and learnt a great deal about what was actually happening on the metaphysical levels. My Reiki master told me ‘you’re not weird, you’re special’ and encouraged me to use my gift at Reiki shares, which gave me some confidence, at least among people I knew.
I completed my Reiki Masters degree in 2013. I am now a regular volunteer therapist at Sandville Court, a self help centre for people with serious or physical mental illness.
My spiritual quest also led to my becoming a Baha’i in August 2002.
I have worked sporadically as a healer for the last 12 years, usually on a voluntary basis with family or friends. I have also worked individually with several close friends and family members who have had serious or terminal medical conditions. Although there is not necessarily a physical ‘cure’ for these conditions, my healing can make the client a lot more comfortable, and it has a marked effect on their emotional and mental well-being.
I am able to assess and identify the source of peoples’ problems using a non-contact energy scan. I then receive guidance as to how best to deal with this problem – eg using an aromatherapy massage for pain relief or an energy healing technique to remove blocks and restore balance.
I can also offer bereavement support as well as Aromatherapy, Body Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, and Energy Healing.
