What is nutritional therapy?

Nutritional therapy is the application of nutrition science that helps you achieve optimal health and vitality and promotes disease prevention.

It is a natural approach that provides dietary and lifestyle advice tailored to the individual, recognising that we are all unique. This approach means that the underlying causes of poor health not just the symptoms are investigated and addressed, a process that works well with conventional treatments.

The food we eat and the way we live can have an enormous impact on our health and the way we feel.

About Janet ...

I qualified at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London and I am a full member of the British Association of Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. I provide individual consultations and workshops from my home clinic in Knaphill, near Woking or in your own home.

I love cooking and am passionate about eating good food. I believe that eating healthily need not be boring nor restrictive. I focus on long term food plans tailored to your needs which are easy to follow and realistic for your lifestyle. Providing plenty of practical advice and support to help you along your way.

Your first steps...

1.) Complete a comprehensive health questionnaire.

2.) An initial consultation of up to 1¼ hours. Together we will establish your health goals and consider your current diet, lifestyle, health issues and medical history. I will provide you with a personalised food plan with realistic and practical advice to help you achieve your goals. Vitamin and mineral supplements may be recommended to support dietary changes and tests (conducted by specialist laboratories) might be advised to help identify any imbalances.

3.) Follow up consultations (about 4-6 weeks later) of up to 45 minutes. We will review your progress and update your programme. If it is more convenient these consultations can take place by telephone.

Support is provided as needed between consultations by email and/or telephone.

If you are unsure of the process or would like a
quick chat about whether this would be beneficial
for you, please do not hesitate getting in contact.
