Aromatherapy
The use of natural essential oils blended to suit the clients need and applied to the body using massage techniques very similar to those used in Swedish massage. Highly soothing and relaxing ideal for stress relieve, tight muscles, tension, insomnia, relaxation for mind and body.
Holistic (Swedish) massage
Holisism comes from the Greek word 'Holos' meaning whole. In holistic massage we deal with the whole person. The massage techniques origionate from Sweden which involves a sequence of movements working superficially and deeper into the tissue layers.
All massage sessions will vary as no two people are alike, therefore the body massage sequence will be adapted to the client's needs.
It is beneficial for many physical, mental and emotional conditions and will leave the client with a deeper sense of relaxation and often a deep sense of calm.
Hot stone massage/therapy
A massage therapy using hot basalt (volcanic stones) and cold (marble stones) in a massage. Not only is this really realxing but the placing of the stones can be followed by a massage which can be deeper and more intense as heat penetrates the body and relaxes the muscles.
Hot Stone therapy can be beneficial for the following conditions; muscular aches, pains, and strains, rheumatic and arthritic conditions, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, back pain, and insomnia. It also helps to improve circulation and can help reduce stress, anxiety, tension and depression.
If appropriate cold stones can also be included to help muscular injury and inflammation. The warm basalt stones stimulate the blood vessels to expand, helping to move blood faster round the body, sedating the nervous system. Where as cold stones will stimulate the nervous system by causing the blood vessels to contract and increasing the lymph flow of waste materials round the body.
During the treatment chakra stones are also incorporated to alighn and rebalance the chakras.
Usui Reki
I was taught in the traditional japanese Usui Reiki method of universal energy healing, Reiki are two Japanese words Rei - Universal KI - energy the treatment is carried out with the client fully clothed and energy is channeled through the practitioners hands to the client. It heals by charging negatively affected parts of the energy field with positive energy. Energy fields in the body each have different vibratory levels and reiki practitioners use their hands to affect and hopefully rebalance these vibrations in the negatively affected part of the body.
Reiki can be used benefit many physical, mental and emotional conditions, and most clients report that a reiki treatment feels wonderful, and promotes a sense of relaxation and well being.
Reiki Angel Reiki
Has similar principles to reiki however this channels enegy from the angelic realms and the energy flow can often feel like a gentle pulsating energy, again nemeficial for many physical, mental and emotional conditions, and most clients report that a reiki treatment feels wonderful, and promotes a sense of relaxation and well being.
