The first time you come for a treatment I will conduct a short consultation. This will cover such things as contact details, health information and date of birth. By asking for your health information I can be certain that the treatment is suitable for you and that the essential oils, if being used, are appropriate. There are certain conditions, common ones being high blood pressure, pregnancy or being fitted with a pacemaker, that rule out particular treatments or oils. I will also confirm that you do not suffer from a nut allergy as sweet almond oil, the most widely used carrier oil in massage, could be harmful. Your age can affect the massage techniques I am able to use.
After all treatments you will be offered a glass of water and then left to gently get up and to get dressed.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy simply means "treatment using scents". The scents used are known as essential oils. It was used by many of the great ancient civilizations and is reputed to be at least 6,000 years old.
Hopi Ear Candling
Hopi ear candling also known as thermo auricular therapy. It is reported to have been used for centries by the Hopi Tribes of South America. Using a hollow cotton candle dipped in bees wax it is a non invasive treatment of the ears.
Massage
Massage is the art of manipulating the body's muscles. It originated some 5,000 years ago in the Eastern world where it was used widely and much later was brought to the West.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a method of treatment using reflex points and manipulation applied to the feet usually, but sometimes also to the hands.
Reiki
Reiki is a method of healing in which positive energy is channelled from the practitoner to the client that balances, heals and harmonises every aspect of you whether emotional, mental, physical or spiritual.
