Open and happy to help people with any health concerns, I have a particular interest in gastrointestinal health, immunity, and maintaining/improving health for the elderly.
I am also a certified GAPS (Gut and Psychology/Physiology Syndrome) practitioner, personally trained by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride. GAPS links gastrointestinal disorders with neurological and (auto-)immune conditions. For more information, please visit http://www.gaps.me/
Applying naturopathic and functional medicine principles, I see each client as unique - body/mind/spirit, and focus on finding and addressing the root causes of problems.
Nutritional therapy goes beyond the basics of healthy eating, and focuses on finding and addressing the root causes of individual imbalances. It is based on the principles of naturopathy and functional medicine, combining knowledge of up to date medical science, with the wisdom and tradition of natural medicine. Each patient is seen as unique, and their diet, lifestyle, circumstances and personality are reviewed and taken into consideration for creating a personalized nutrition plan, rather than a “one size fits all” approach.
Happy Holidays!

What to expect from our consultation
Initial appointment (75 minutes)

After we make an appointment, I shall send you a health and diet questionnaire (by post or email) and ask you to fill it in and return 2-3 days before the consultation is due.

During the initial consultation we shall discuss in detail your main health concerns, dietary habits and lifestyle factors that may contribute to your symptoms. I may use a range of naturopathic tools such as tongue, face and nail analysis, and in some cases possibly recommend certain functional tests, to help ascertain any suspected underlying conditions and/or to assess your progress. You may also be referred to your GP (with your consent) for further investigations or tests.

I shall then give you my recommendations, and we will agree together on a suitable action plan that would be most helpful, but also feasible for you. I shall put this in writing for your reference.

I will be happy to collaborate with any other medical practitioner(s) that you are already seeing, and strongly encourage you to let them know about the nutritional/lifestyle changes that you are/will be making.

Follow-up appointments (45 minutes)

A follow-up consultation is recommended after 4-6 weeks in order to assess your progress and continue with any necessary changes. If required, email and telephone support will be available between appointments.

During follow-up consultations, we shall discuss your progress, ascertain areas that you found more challenging from your initial action plan, check for any new symptoms or health goals, and find alternatives, or ways to go around the difficulties that you have met. We will “tweak” your programme, are take a “step-by-step” approach, progressing towards better health and increased vitality.

About Me
Wanting to understand how things work in our world, I have initially studied physics, and gained a M.Sc. in physics engineering, then moved on to a career in Information Technology. However, after my daughter was born in 2004, I started to realize the importance of health and nutrition, and how these aspects of life can give us not only more enjoyment and physical wellbeing, but may also be able to impart a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.

I am keen on healing myself and helping others heal themselves with natural, simple (but powerful) methods – such as nutrition and lifestyle changes, and I’d like to think that I have retained and am putting to good use my enquiring and scientifically inclined mind, and analytical abilities.

I have studied naturopathic nutrition, gaining a diploma in nutritional therapy (DipCNM) from CNM – the College of Naturopathic Medicine, one of the most well known and highly respected training providers in natural medicine, in the UK and Ireland.

I am a full member of BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy), which acts as a professional body for nutritional therapy practitioners and promotes high standards of education, training, practice and integrity in the nutrition profession. I am also CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council) registered and regulated.

BANT and CNHC publish a register of their members, for more information please visit: www.bant.org.uk and http://www.cnhcregister.org.uk/

In addition to conducting private consultations, I supervise final year student clinics at The College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) in London and regularly attend continuing professional development (CPD) seminars and training programmes. I also work with Yes to Life (Your options for Cancer) charity.
