    SERVICES

    Welcome to Holistic Therapies

    WHAT IS HOLISTIC THERAPY?

It is treating the whole person, mind body and spirit.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A TREATMENT SESSION?

The initial treatment will start with a review of current and past medical history: how you are feeling and what type of therapy you require.

The session may be one individual therapy or a combination of two or three.
    Sessions last about 1 hour.

    Therapies promote:

  • RELAXATION
  • RELIEF OF TENSION & STRESS
  • STREGTHENING OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM
  • IMPROVING CIRCULATION
  • EASING ACHES & PAINS
  • CALMING
  • REMOVAL OF TOXINS

    THE THERAPIES

    (HOPI)EAR CANDLEING - Thermo-Auricular Therapy
The treatment is carried out with the client fully clothed. Ear candles work by drawing impurities out. Ear candling helps with many conditions including: removal of ear wax, hearing and balance problems, ear pressure regulation and glue ear. Ear candling has a soothing and relaxing effect on stress related symptoms such as irritability.

    RAINDROP TECHNIQUE®
Raindrop technique was developed by Gary Young founder of Young Living Essential Oils, based on techniques taught to him by a Lokota medicine man named Wallace Black Elk. Neat bio-dynamic essential oils are first dropped along the spine and then using feathering movements spread along the back to stimulate nervous system activity . This brings about a balance with the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies.

    AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE
Use of essential oils (essences of flowers/ leaves/roots/ seeds/ fruits and woods) in carrier oils, toiletries or burnt as aromas. Oils are chosen for each individual. Each of the oils possesses distinct therapeutic properties which work on the physical, mental emotional level. Aromatherapy can be combined with deep tissue work.

    LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE (basic)
Lymphatic drainage is a very gentle form of massage—no oils used but sometimes flower talc’s are used. The massage stimulates the lymphatic glands, aids and strengthens the immune system. Lymphatic drainage is detoxifying and very good for the skin. This type of massage is deeply relaxing.

    INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
This traditional technique, which treats the neck, shoulders, arms scalp and face, was originally developed by Indian women. Massage is given through clothing. The head and shoulder massage is balancing and relaxing for the whole body. It simulates the blood flow and helps relieve stress, muscular tension, fatigue, eyestrain and headaches. Improved concentration, joint mobility and stimulation of hair follicles are other possible benefits. Can be given in the workplace.

    ON-SITE (seated) MASSAGE
Massage is given though clothing in a massage chair—concentrating on the back. It is a short treatment lasting about 20 minutes. Helps de-stress, eases tight and fatigued muscles—also relaxing and helps remove aches and pains. More often carried out in the workplace

    REIKI
Reiki is a form of healing. The therapist channels energy; through their hands helping the body to heal itself. Reiki can bring feelings of well-being, deep relaxation and calm. Reiki is carried out fully clothed. /reiki can also be incorporated into most treatments.

    DIET AND NUTRITIONAL ADVICE
A detailed look at your diet and lifestyle using a questionnaire, food diary and consultation. Emphasis on integrating diets with any medical procedures or other problems—to produce optimum nutrition.
