A fitness consultation isn’t anything to worry about, you will have a nice relaxing chat about you, where you see yourself going and how we can get there through training.

A consultation is used to gain as much information about your health and fitness goals as possible. The more information gained, the better the instructor can then plan your specific program for you.

The idea is to agree a few fitness goals. A goal is something specific to you, for example: Being able to run 5k in 30 minutes. This Shows:
  • A clear goal of what you want to do (specific)

  • The time in which you wish to complete it in (measured and timed)

  • The goal is realistic, being able to build up a run in three months.
A similar approach would be made towards your goals using the SMART technique:
    Specific - Measured - Achievable - Realistic - Timed
A good idea is to set three goals, that way you can make each one specific and can get to more than one goal at a time.

Once a fitness program has started, many benefits tie in together. Cardiovascular training gives you more energy, helps to burn calories and also reduces the risks of coronary heart disease and other illnesses. Resistance training will make the muscles become more toned, reducing fat mass and also help to prevent such diseases as osteoporosis.

Both these goals are also helping to make you look and feel great!
