This clinic is run by Mr John Chin who has over 10 years experience in this country, as well as on board cruise liners and in Cyprus where he had his own clinic. Johns involvement in Traditional Chinese Medicine began when injuries he had sustained over a period of years came to a head at the age of 19 and he almost ended up in a wheelchair. Traditional Chinese Medicine helped him recover.

Mrs Martine Doolan is also registered at this clinic and whose experiences with a sick child led her to seek out an alternative to, and to compliment Western medicine.

John has treated competitors in the London marathon as well as contestants in Britans Strongest Man

SERVICES

Welcome to The Natural Healing Centre of Oriental Medicine

All our treatments are tailored to you, the individual. Your pain or discomfort is not the same as anyone elses and by using any one, or a combination of our skills we can help to alliviate your discomfort. We do not just treat structural ailments but also internal and emotional issues.

You will be assesed by one of our practiotioners, who will discuss with you your symptom or symptoms to see which parts of your body are affected. Remember, just because you are experiencing pain in your back it may originally stem from an injury suffered to perhaps your neck or even knees! We look at the whole person and treat everyone who passes through our clinic as an individual and not just a number. By talking to you we can find out about things that you may have forgotten or that you just take for granted because you have had it so long that it does not occur to you to mention it. Some structural problems can stem from emotional trauma and vice versa.

Tao Yin which incorporates Muscle Testing, Qi Gung Positional Release, Muscular -Skeletal Repatterning, Cranial Sacral Balancing and Tui Na

Muscle Testing is based on the concept of internal energy fundamental to traditional Chinese medicine, muscle testing is a non invasive way of evaluating the body’s imbalances and assessing its needs. It involves testing the body’s responses when applying slight pressure to a large muscle, to provide information on muscular weaknesses, energy blockages, the functioning of the organs and nutritional deficiencies, among other things. It can also be used to test the body’s responses to herbs and other remedies.

Qi Gung Positional Release Allows parts of the body to 'unwind' and relax into the position that they should be, by using gentle techniques so as not to cause discomford to you.

Muscular -Skeletal Repatterning which is where the use of arms and legs are used to repattern and correct the inbalances in the body.

Cranial Sacral Balancing is used to balance the base of the spine or sacrum and the skull with gentle and light techniques to release and balance the bodies Qi (Chee) and correct blood flow.

Tui Na is a gentle form of massage. Tui Na does not simply work on the muscles, bones, and joints. It works with the energy of the body at a deeper level.

Acupuncture The intent of acupuncture therapy is to promote health and alleviate pain. The method by which this is accomplished has been time tested over thousands of years and continues to be validated today.

Just as the Western medical doctor monitors the blood flowing through blood vessels and the messages travelling via the nervous system, the acupuncturist assesses the flow and distribution of this "vital energy" within its pathways, known as "meridians and channels".

We are able to influence health by stimulating certain areas along these "meridians". Traditionally these areas or "acupoints" were stimulated by fine, slender needles. Today, electrical stimulation is also incorporated. Still, the aim remains the same - adjust the "vital energy" so the proper amount reaches the proper place at the proper time which helps your body heal itself.
