The Principal of the Royal Berkshire College of Clinical Hypnosis, Kevin Still has extensive experience in successful full time private practice as a Hypnotherapist. Prior to this Kevin worked in the corporate world as a Sales & Marketing Director.
Kevin trained at the Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis with Terence Watts, one of the UK's most highly qualified and skilled hypno-psychotherapists.

Accredited Hypnotherapy Training - The UK Professional Practitioner Hypnotherapy Course
This is the perfect course to study if you want to go into practice, either full time or part time, as an effective Professional Clinical Hypnotherapist. The accredited hypnotherapy training programme has been designed to give you a thorough and sound knowledge of the application of ethical clinical hypnosis and hypnotherapy, even if you have no previous experience in the field.
The one-year course is of approximately 600 hours duration, including 140 hours of classroom study, and leads to a full Diploma qualification (DHP) with the opportunity to join the following leading Hypnotherapy Organisations:
- The National Council of Psychotherapists
- The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy
On this hypnosis course, you will learn all the skills you need to be able to put people safely and effectively into hypnosis. Moreover, you will receive a good grounding in therapeutic techniques to help people overcome the conditions they present with.
But it's not just about gaining professional qualifications in hypnosis and hypnotherapy and psychotherapy; our tuition includes business advice from setting up your practice, advertising and marketing, to accounts and finance.
The following subjects - and far more - are all covered in detail:
- Definition of hypnosis, what it can & cannot do
- How to build a successful hypnotherapy practice
- Differences between the stage hypnotist and the hypnotherapist
- How to hypnotise almost anybody - including
- How to recognise when somebody IS hypnotised

The course includes the entire award winning 'Easy Stop Smoking Programme'. This programme is one of the most effective available and received the 1998 Award for Clinical Excellence from the Hypnotherapy Research Society.
When you pass the Final Examination, you will receive:
- The 'How to Build a Successful Practice' manual, containing full details of how to be the most successful therapist you can be - even be a 'high flier' if you want to
- A CD of copyright-free music for you to use as background music in the consulting room or on any tapes you make for clients or for sale, without breaching the copyright laws
- A Graduation Pack CD which includes the entire course, as well as the transcripts of all the audio support so that you can easily run a search on your PC to find information easily and quickly!

In the Classroom
Ten monthly, intensive two-day weekend classes providing a total of 140 hours of tuition, couple with a few more hours per week of home study - a required reading list is provided along with a written course in excess of 140,000 words. There will be a requirement for two assessed essays of 1000 words to be completed, along with monthly assignments of case studies and a half-way interim test during the course period to further assess your progress.
Lifetime Support
The 10 month hypnosis instruction course is comprehensive enough for you to be able to successfully and competently go with your new hypnotherapy career into private practice as soon as you are qualified, safe in the knowledge that you have the lifetime support of the Co -principals and staff of the Royal Berkshire College of Clinical hypnosis. At any time you need professional help or advice, we are here to answer your queries. And that support is completely free (some schools and colleges charge their usual session fee per hour or part hour for this service)
Fees
Course fees may be paid by cash, cheque or credit card and this course might also be eligible for a Government-sponsored Career development loan.
The total cost of the course is £2350.00 Sterling. If you wish, you can pay via ten monthly installments of £235.00 Sterling. A £200 discount applies when the course fee is paid in full in advance.
All required books and lunch are included in the fee for the course; there is nothing else to pay.
Qualifications
Students who successfully pass the exams and assessments will receive a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, and therefore can use the letters DHP in relation to all professional endeavours.
and will also be eligible for:
- LAPHP (Licentiate of the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy)
- LNCP (Licentiate membership of the National Council for Psychotherapists)
In the event that you should fail the final exam, you will be able to retake it after a suitable period of further study at home.
