About Us

Since 1980 this clinic has established its reputation for providing an excellent physiotherapy service for people living or working in the City of London. With our central location and number of fulltime staff we are able to offer prompt treatment with least disruption to your working day. Over the years we have the trust and good working relationships with many referring Consultants, GPs, health insurance companies and many City institutions.

Treatments and services cover sports injuries, back pain, neck pain, orthopaedic surgery rehabilitation, sprains and strains, acupuncture, massage, rehabilitation, Pilates, exercise, ergonomic assessment, manipulation, manual therapy, electrotherapy and ultrasound.

Barbican Physiotherapy Clinic - established since 1980. As always, we aim to be the number one choice for physiotherapy in the City, with a friendly and efficient service provided by our team of Chartered Physiotherapists. Our appointments are usually for 30 minutes We have built our reputation on sound manual therapy techniques applied by clinicians with many years experience.

Conditions treated include
  • Neck and back pain

  • Traumatic Injuries eg sprains strains, whiplash

  • Repetitive/Overuse Injuries eg RSI, Upper Limb Disorder, tennis elbow, golfers elbow

  • Headaches

  • Frozen Shoulder, tendonitis, bursitis.

  • TMJ Problems (jaw)

  • Postural Problems, ailments caused by hours of stress or poor posture at a computer, or badly arranged work stations.

  • Post-surgical or Fractures, Orthopaedics

  • Pregnancy ,eg back or sacro iliac pain,

  • Degenerative Diseases, ie. osteoarthritis

  • Occupational Injuries
Based on a thorough subjective and objective examination your physiotherapist will discuss different treatment options to help you with your problem. When necessary they will be able to refer you on to any relevant specialist, such as Orthopaedic Surgeon, Rheumatologist, Sports Physician, podiatrist, Xray, MRI or ultrasound scans. Most usually you will be assessed and treated, as physiotherapists have the skills, experience and training to do.

Treatment options include:
  • Manual Therapy – mobilisation and manipulation.

  • Soft Tissue Work – massage, trigger point work, myofascial release

  • Electrotherapy

  • Acupuncture

  • Exercise rehabilitation/Correction of muscle imbalance/stretching/strengthening.

  • Ergonomic assessment and advice

  • Education/advice/taping/strapping
We are open Mon–Fri 8am–6pm (and by arrangement outside these hours).
