We aim to provide a prompt, high quality service in a friendly and comfortable environment. We can offer individual consultations for various conditions as well as group sessions where appropriate. Private treatment through Lea Valley Physio enables you to arrange an appointment at a time to suit you and without having to wait. No referral is usually necessary.

What to Expect

On your first visit you will be assessed by an experienced physiotherapist to determine appropriate treatment for your condition. By the end of this consultation you and your therapist will have agreed a tailor-made course of action / treatment plan to facilitate your speedy recovery.

If, at the end of your consultation it is felt that we cannot help you, we will advise you on which relevant clinician may be able to help.

What is Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy uses up to date biomechanical knowledge to analyse musculoskeletal problems in the body, and is particularly beneficial in correcting the interaction between joints, muscles and ligaments. Treatments may include mobilisation of joints and soft tissues, exercise prescription, electrical treatment, acupuncture, advice on self-management and prevention.

treatmentPhysiotherapy treatment promotes faster recovery from sports injuries, fractures (broken bones), whiplash, back injuries and orthopaedic surgery. Physiotherapy can help pain caused by arthritis, overuse, poor posture and pregnancy.

Headaches and migraines can arise wholly or partially from the neck and may benefi t from treatment.

There are many varying causes of dizziness but dizziness caused by the inner ear, known as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo or BPPV, may respond to specialist assessment and treatment. In this instance you will require a referral from a GP or a specialist.

Craniosacral therapy can be offered as part of your holistic treatment by the specialist physiotherapist. Craniosacral therapy is a holistic healing practice that uses a very light touch to balance the craniosacral system in the body, which includes the bones, nerves, fluids and connective tissues of the cranium and spinal area.
