Welcome to the Dragon Acupuncture Project
Since 2003 the Dragon Acupuncture Project has led the way as the very first private low-cost, multi-bed acupuncture clinic in the UK.
The clinic offers low cost and effective treatments including full-body acupuncture, auricular (ear) acupuncture and facial acupuncture, for a wide range of conditions. The style of practice used at the Dragon makes it more financially viable for people to benefit from having frequent acupuncture treatment.
Compared to other therapies that are conducted on a one- to-one basis the Dragon project treats several patients in one large room (conventional practice in China). The reduction in overheads that this offers means that a saving can be passed on to the patients. This set up suits acupuncture as needles are left in for 20-30 minutes. Acupuncturists move from patient to patient while the needles do their work, and allowing more people to be treated at a time.
The clinic offers a calm and spacious environment to be treated. Patients new to the clinic frequently comment on the healing environment of the collective space.

Traditional acupuncture:
Acupuncture is a complete and sophisticated system of medicine. It is over two thousand years old and is based on accessing and changing the body's energy by placing fine needles in the network of energy channels running over its surface. Acupuncture is remarkably effective for a wide range of health complaints and if frequently effective in treating pain, rheumatic and arthritic conditions, muscular and joint problems, stress, depression, fatigue, poor immunity, insomnia, asthma, gynaecological and digestive disorders, fertility issues or cravings (e.g. quitting smoking.)
Paediatric acupuncture:
We offer treatment to children over seven years old. They must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Children respond remarkably well to treatment and as with adults acupuncture can really make a difference to their well-being.
We also offer:
Facial acupuncture* Virtually painless natural method of reducing the signs of aging on the face. Initially six to eight treatments are suggested and monthly maintenance treatments are recommended. *Facial acupuncture is excluded from Dragon's main offer (A separate, cosmetic treatment, it uses a much higher number of needles and is therefore charged at �48 per time - a discount on standard market rates for this treatment.)
About Us
The Dragon Acupuncture Project was founded in 2003 by Nik Tilling and Calum Thomson. Mo Froud is also a practicing acupuncturist at the clinic and Nikki Ritchie, an acupuncture student is the clinic manager for the project.

QUALIFICATION DETAILS
