About Sharon Taylor

Hi, my name is Sharon Taylor and I'm a fully qualified freelance complementary therapist, registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists. I am the creative director at Complete Harmony and I also design, organise and deliever on-site events.

I worked for over 25 years in an office environment and gained qualifications in finance, business and management. I changed track and studied complementary therapies which I had been interested in for many years.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage has been practised in India for centuries with each family having their own massage techniques. Today in the western world a selection of these techniques has been put together to create a massage which helps to relieve tension in the shoulders, neck and head. It is effective for treating headaches, eyestrain, sinus problems, insomnia and tinnitus. It is deeply relaxing and improves blood and lymphatic circulation which can in turn aid scalp and hair condition.

Massages

Aromatherapy

These are relaxing massage treatments which benefit both the body and mind and include the use of pure essential oils individually blended for each client. This treatment can help with many conditions including headaches, anxiety, stress, tension, asthma, aches and pains, insomnia, hormonal imbalance, sinusitis as well as stress related conditions.

M’ Technique Massage

This is a very light touch massage which involves a sequence of rhythmic stroking movements. This massage is suitable for people who find conventional massage too uncomfortable and can be performed clothed. It can help with pain relief, relaxation, stress, arthritis and insomnia.

Thermal Auricular Therapy (Hopi Ear Candles)

The use of ear candles can be dated back 1,500 years to the ancient Egyptians. The Hopi Indians of America popularised the technique that is used today.

This treatment is painless and Hopi ear candles are used to help soften earwax, can help with sinus congestion, snoring, in-flight pressure or pain and earache.

Reflexology

Reflexology is another ancient art dating back thousands of years. It was first practised by the Indian, Chinese and Egyptian peoples. Reflexology works on the principle that all organs and glands of the body are represented by a reflex point on the feet and hands. By applying pressure to these points the body can start the process of self balance. It is a relaxing, non-intrusive treatment which prompts inner balance and harmony.

Reiki Therapy

This treatment originated in Japan. It uses a gentle yet powerful hands-on technique. Reiki is a non-invasive treatment and works on many different levels producing a deep cleansing effect on the mind, body, emotions and spirit. Receivers have described it as deeply relaxing and hve likened it to having 3-4 hours sleep.

It can benefit conditions such as aches and pains, anxiety and stress.
