Welcome to Homeopathy & Reflexology in Thame

Reflexology

Reflexology is a complementary therapy which works on the feet or hands to help heal the whole person not just the current symptoms.

Reflexology is ideal for treating and preventing stress related problems. Not only does it treat the immediate physical condition but it is also very relaxing thereby helping to treat the root cause of stress and anxiety.

Reflexology can be a treatment in itself or can complement existing prescribed medication or treatment. It is also used as part of a long term health and fitness plan. A series of regular treatments is recommended eg. 4-6 and then a review of progress.

Homeopathy

When we are ill or injured the body immediately starts its own healing process in an effort to repair, renew and recover.

This energetic process is helped by good diet, exercise, healthy mind and body – a healthy balance. However the process can be slowed down or even stopped by our response to other influences such as grief, shock or inherited tendencies. One of the definitions of health is our ability to adapt to change and trauma.

This is where homeopathy comes in.

When the body’s natural healing energy becomes stuck, a homeopathic remedy is given. The similar energy of the remedy acts as the catalyst which gets the body’s own forces going again, enabling the natural healing process to continue to repair, renewal and recover.

I tried it once and it didn’t work…

You will usually need several appointments with your homeopath to allow any difficulties that have accumulated during your lifetime to be slowly and gently released.

What happens during a consultation?

I listen, and will ask detailed questions about you and your symptoms to enable me to find a remedy with a similar picture. All consultations are completely confidential.

Indian Head Massage

Head massage originated in India over a thousand years ago. It is based on the Ayurvedic system of healing. It began as the way to keep your long hair in beautiful condition and has become a part of daily life.

Indian Head massage can either be performed on skin with oils or, or you can remain fully clothed and seated on a chair. The therapist uses a wide range of massage techniques including deep kneading, not just on the scalp area, but over the neck and shoulders as well. During the treatment the therapist will gently stimulate and stroke the pressure points on the face and the ears.

The main aim of this type of massage is to relieve the stress and tension which many of us experience in our upper body: muscles, joints, neck, shoulders, scalp and face. Indian Head Massage is an incredibly relaxing non invasive treatment. The treatment can be carried out with or without oils.

After treatment clients report experiencing a deep sense of calm but also energised and revitalised. Clients report being able to concentrate better, being more able to cope with the challenges of everyday life.
