SERVICES

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a proven method of treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological disorders including spinal and peripheral symptoms.

The key benefits of physiotherapy are to:
  • Reduce Pain
  • Decrease swelling
  • Restore movement and function
  • Restore muscle strength
  • Enhance soft tissue healing
  • Correct muscle imbalances

Early intervention of the patient is critical to a speedy recovery. Research has proven that people who seek physiotherapy early after an injury have shorter recovery periods than those who wait.

At Brink Physiotherapy we provide a holistic approach to treatment. This involves a detailed assessment resulting in a diagnosis and a guided timescale for recovery. Treatment is focussed on alleviating symptoms as well as addressing the causes to prevent recurrence and involves a combination of manual therapy techniques, knowledge of conditions and the provision of an individual home exercise regime.

The sooner physiotherapy begins, the faster the recovery. Early physiotherapy also allows for complicated cases to be identified timeously. We will discuss with you how your symptoms affect your lifestyle and examine the structures involved. Our focus is to resolve your symptoms, manage your injury by addressing the cause and rehabilitate you back to health.

Treatment included any one or a combination of the following:
  • Exercise therapy
  • Manual therapy techniques
  • Electrotherapy
  • Acupuncture/ Dry needling
  • Enhance soft tissue healing
  • Posture Re-education

Our success is based on an honest and hard working approach to patient care aimed at rehabilitating individuals to achieve optimal health. Our diagnosis and treatment is formulated by years of experience as well as an up to date knowledge of the latest research and medical evidence. We are proud as a company that our greatest referral source is word of mouth from previous patients.

What Physiotherapy can treat?
  • Back Pain
  • Headaches (Cervicogenic)
  • Sports Injuries
  • Work Related Injuries
  • Road Traffic Accidents

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an effective therapeutic tool used to enhance healing. We are pleased to offer this service at our clinics. Acupuncture is the gentle insertion of sterilized needles into specific points on the body.

Classical acupuncture was developed in China over 3000 thousand years ago as a component of traditional Chinese medicine used to diagnose and treat pain and disease. Acupuncture has been successfully used for hundreds of years. Research has found that acupuncture stimulates the production of endorphins and cortisol in the brain. These chemicals are vital in pain relief and inflammation control. As physiotherapists are often treating conditions involving pain and inflammation, acupuncture has become a valuable tool in our rehabilitation. Acupuncture will also have the effect of relaxation, improving sleep function and promoting energy and well-being.
