Ganglion
A ganglion is a fluid-filled cyst that forms from the joint or tendon lining and most commonly occur on wrists and ankles. Ganglia are often painless but they can commonly cause pain and tenderness, thus restricting movement around a joint. Treatments for ganglia include rest, splinting the affected area, removing the fluid, surgical removal, and homoeopathy.
