'the most important issue in hatha yoga is not flexibility and the ability to do difficult postures, but awareness - awareness of the body and the breath.'
H. David Coulter 'Anatomy of Hatha Yoga'
Holder of British Wheel of Yoga Teaching diploma
I have been teaching yoga in Gloucester, UK since 2006, first as a volunteer at The Family Haven (for women with young children) and then with my own private classes and through Gloucester College.
You don't need to be thin, flexible or supple to start doing yoga although you may find yourself becoming at least one of those things if you continue to practice yoga.
I teach evening classes in Tuffley, and the centre of Gloucester. I also teach a day time class in Abbeydale, Gloucester. All abilities are welcome, everyone works within their own capabilities and in a relaxed, gentle manner, so that they can improve or just maintain their levels of fitness.
All classes include some form of relaxation as well as asanas (postures and poses) and breath awareness.
Contact me for details of the location, price and times of classes 01452 451228 or 07876764425.
