About Me
SMC Massage Therapy (Aberdeen) Limited is based within Aberdeen City Centre.
My company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals from Physiotherapists and other health professionals and word of mouth.
I am a qualified Remedial and Sports Massage Therapist and also in Swedish Massage. I have also completed training in Active Isolated Stretching. I also hold the National Sports First Aid qualification and am team therapist for Aberdeen Lynx Ice Hockey team who play in the Scottish National League.
I am a registered practitioner with the Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council.
I have worked on athletes from various sports including Novice to Distance Runners, Rugby players (amateur and professional), Cyclists, Triathletes and Footballers (amateur and professional). I have provided treatments to clients with conditions such as Sciatica, Osteoarthritis and Repetitive Strain. During November 2010, I have had the privilege of working with the Samoa Rugby 15s squad for one week ahead of their match at Pittodrie Stadium on Saturday, 27th November 2010.
I have also worked with the Gordonian's rugby side here in Aberdeen. This year I will be providing pre/post event massage at the Balmoral 10K and Half Marathon with my team of therapists. As well as my varied Sports clients, I also treat conditions such as RSI, Arthritis, Back pain, Shoulder pain/Frozen Shoulder etc.
