Many people have unnecessary health problems because unknowingly they are intolerant to certain foods or something in the environment.

Whilst modern medicine has found cures for many diseases that were prevalent in the past, modern living trends are creating new problems.

The increased refinement and use of additives and preservatives in processed foods together with environmental pollution are causing an increasing number of people to suffer allergic reactions and ill health.

Headaches, migraines, fatigue, poor concentration, depression, lethargy, recurrent mouth ulcers, diarrhoea, constipation, bloating, weight problems, aches and pains, irritable bowel syndrome, digestive disorders, hyperactivity, behavioural problems, eating binges, food cravings, PMT, thrush, cystitis, hay fever, asthma, eczema, nasal congestion (rhinitis/sinusitis), fungal infections and many other symptoms can be the result of intolerances or nutritional deficiencies.

How do I test for intolerances?
I use the Vega system which allows me to test many items at one time, and together with my experience (I have been practising since 1999) will often give me an indication of your problems. The device takes measurements from acupressure points usually on the hands. Various substances are introduced into the machine to highlight weaknesses or sensitivities.

All forms of testing for intolerances have their limitations for example scratch/patch testing screens only a relatively small number of possible allergens whilst food elimination is a long drawn out process as only one suspect food at a time can be tested. The patient’s condition on the day of the test is also a factor.

Is the test painful / do you use needles?
Testing is non-invasive (no needles), completely safe and painless making it suitable for everyone, including babies, children and the elderly.

Do I need to change anything in my diet before testing?
No, but avoid anti-histamines 24 hours before your appointment.

About the test
You will be tested for approximately 150 items.

Appointments take about one hour sometimes longer and before testing I will ask you about your diet, lifestyle, medical history and current problems.

I will advise you on the best form of treatment, either eliminating certain foods for a limited period, the use of desensitising drops or supplements where appropriate.

Support after your appointment
I will confirm by post your personal treatment plan together with information on dietary alternatives and you are welcome to phone me with any queries.

How many appointments will I need?
Usually just one, although it is recommended to have a follow up to confirm progress after three months.

How do I contact you?
By phone on 01584 819507 (at any reasonable time) for advice, to make an appointment, or email me on [email protected]

Can I bring a friend with me?
By all means.

Where can I be seen?
My clinic is in rural Worcestershire near Tenbury Wells close to the Herefordshire and Shropshire borders. There is easy ground floor access and ample parking.

How much does testing cost?
Consultations are £40
