INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
Indian Head massage is a relatively new treatment to this country although it has been practised in India for over a thousand years. Indians believe that massage saves the body from decay and preserves it's vital energy (Chi). This treatment works on the shoulders, arms, neck, scalp and face and finishes with the balancing of the 3 highest chakras, but the effects can be felt throughout the system. Indian Head massage is a wonderful, deeply relaxing treatment but is also extremely beneficial for dealing with stress and tension, especially that which is caused by our modern working lives sat in front of a computer. Shoulder and scalp tension, eye strain and bad posture can be present and cause us problems without us even realising it. A course of Indian Head Massage treatments will make you more aware of yourself and your bodies needs and almost certainly leave you feeling like a new person!
This treatment is provided with the client fully clothed and in a seated position.

THERMO-AURICULAR THERAPY
(also known as Hopi ear-candling)
This is a wonderfully gentle and deeply relaxing treatment in which hollow tubes made of fabric and wax are placed gently into the outer ear canal. The end is then lit, creating a mild chimney effect which gently and naturally encourages any unwanted residues to make its way out of the ear. The debris is not collected in the "candle" during the treatment,as was once thought, but can gradually make it's way to the outer ear canal over the few days following the treatment.
Once both ears have been treated, I finish with a light facial massage (with or without oils) to aid lymphatic drainage and help clear the facial passages.
The treatment is first and foremost intended for relaxation so if you have any problems with your ears and/or hearing then you should visit your GP or audiologist.
This treatment is carried out with the client lying down and fully clothed.

TSUBOKI®JAPANESE FACE MASSAGE
I had the honour of training in Tsuboki with Anne Parry who developed the system. It involves Anma techniques (traditional Japanese massage) to the neck and face, eliminating toxins, improving circulation, relaxing and toning the muscles being a few of the benefits, and Acupressure techniques, which concentrate on specific points, or tsubo's, on the face. Although the treatment is done above the shoulder line, it has the effect of giving the client a "full body" massage! How? As pressure is applied to the tsubo's along the meridians of the body, blocked energy is released, assisting with the flow of "Ki" around the body. Each meridian also serves a particular organ within the body and helps with the physical and psychological conditions associated with that organ, thereby affecting much more than just the face. Tapping techniques on the Tsubo's can also help reduce wrinkles! In short, Tsuboki® is a deeply relaxing, natural facelift!

I have also completed a course in Tsuboki® Face Massagewith the developer of this system of massage, Anne Parry, through the CMA.
I am also currently studying for my Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology, which I hope to be able to offer by the end of 2010, and also my Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy massage which I hope to be able to offer in early 2011. I hope to be able to offer Reiki within the next 12 months. I will keep you posted!
